How to Enjoy Fanfiction Better.

We all read fanfiction to improve our comprehension and understanding when it comes to reading, am I wrong?
It's kinda nice for people to write stories about our favorite couple together until their deaths and stuff. Then for those who write fanfiction, they were a happy to be appreciated, helped, and criticize (to me, yes). But, do you want a better reading/writing experience?

I don't have much advice to give you, since most of them are known ways.

Listen to Music.

Not just to any music. Please, don't play Justin Bieber music in an emotional fanfiction. It's unfitting. Go get a playlists full of your fave songs. Songs that dated 2007 or earlier. Those Emo Techno songs work with Emotional Fanfictions. Those Allegro songs helps with Comedy, Gag and Crack Fanfictions. Those calm and suiting piano songs works with Sad/Serious parts of the Fanfiction.
If you haven't tried it (which is impossible, unless you haven't read fiction), I guarantee that you will cry...soon.

Read Slowly, But Surely.

Please, take your time when reading a fanfiction. This is not a speed reading contest. The Authors consumed their only free times in the day just so to write it, then read it all over again to check mistakes, and maybe they even beta it to someone. Take the time to consume what you are reading, and you will understand the situation more. You probably be falling out of your chair from laughing.

Understand the Message.

Just like literature, fanfiction has some lessons that teaches us. You might find your fave comedic character angst-ing at the corner, which makes him out of character. But, there is a reason why. Maybe a close friend died, or that he has some other issues that the reasons he wasn't usually open to everyone. A Reference to Read Slowly, But Surely.

Sum up.

After reading a chapter, sum every important points in the chapter, and piece it together to the other chapters. A Little observation will work.

A Very Rewarding Criticism.

If you truly enjoy the fanfiction, send a review to the author. It is the most precious reward they can ever receive. You do know that the authors tried their hardest to satisfy the targeted readers. Besides, if you write a very-detailed review, you will have fun writing about it, and so will the author who read it.
